What do I do if my game crashes or freezes?

Issue with your game crashing or freezing? Please try the following:

Windows

  1. Close and re-open the game. Doing so can sometimes fix freezing and crash issues.
  2. Close all other apps and restart your device from the power menu. Restart is different than shut down.
  3. Open the Microsoft Store app on your device.
  4. Check for updates. These can be found by clicking the ellipsis (…) in the top right hand corner > Get Updates > Update All.

Android

  1. Make sure the game is downloaded from the Google Play Store. We can’t guarantee support for the game if it is downloaded from other sites.
  2. Close and re-open the game. Doing so can sometimes fix freezing and crash issues.
  3. Close all other apps and restart your device. This frees up memory on your device.
  4. Try clearing your local application data for Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
    1. Open the Settings Menu
    2. Enter 'Apps' or 'Application Manager'
    3. Find and select Microsoft Solitaire Collection
    4. Select 'Clear Data'
    5. On Android 6.0 or later, select 'Storage' to Clear Data
  5. Check your device’s storage capacity. Get more space by transferring unused apps, music, pictures, and videos off your device.

iOS

  1. Close all other apps and restart your device. This frees up memory on your device.
  2. Update your Game. Check the App Store for the latest update to the game.
  3. Close and re-open the game. Doing so can sometimes fix freezing and crash issues.
  4. Make sure you are running the latest version of iOS.
    1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. Here you can check to see if any updates are available.
  5. Check your device's storage capacity.
    1. Go to Settings > General > About and you will see your available capacity. Get more space by removing unused apps, music, pictures, and videos.
  6. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game from the App Store.
