How do I change my gamertag or gamerpic?

Via Windows

  1. Within your game, click on your current gamerpic and launch the Xbox Live app.
  2. Click on your gamerpic on the Xbox Live home screen and select "Customize". 
  3. Click "Change gamertag". Type in your desired gamertag to see if it's available. If it isn’t, you may have to try a different variation.
  4. Click on your current gamerpic to change your gamerpic.

Via iOS or Android

  1. Launch the Xbox App on your device.
  2. Click on your profile image in the left menu bar.
  3. Select "Customize"
  4. Click "Choose your gamerpic"
  5. To change your gamer tag see the via xbox.com instructions below.

  1. Sign into your account on xbox.com.
  2. Click your profile image in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Choose "Xbox Profile".
  4. Select "Customize".
  5. Click "Change gamerpic".
  6. Click the pencil beside your gamertag to change.
